The Good Thief

The Good Thief

It is nice to share...Ren does not know anything about his past but he strongly desires for a caring family of his own. He is an orphan and is missing his left hand. His life in a Catholic orphanage/monastery is not easy, but also not tragic.

When a young man named Benjamin arrives at the orphanage and claims to be his distant relative. Benjamin weaves a tale of a father who lived a high adventure and the tragic (but exciting) circumstances that took their parents away. Ren jumps at the chance to live a normal life and have a real family but this dream is shattered almost immediately, when Ren's new "benefactor" engages him in a life of petty theft, fraud, and robbing. Gradually, Ren discovers that Benjamin is a skilled liar.

Ren’s perspective on life, the way he visualizes situations, and his attempt to stay true to an ever-challenged moral code was very adorable, and the cast of characters he encounters is so memorable but the problem is that the story became too foreseeable towards the end...
